It Circles the Earth

It’s been another productive week in the studio.  Aside from spending time shipping out orders of my new shirt, I have been busy doing some actual work.

I finally finished my work on the above two pieces which are a collaboration with Shana Goetsch, who is the mastermind behind Art That Circles the Earth.  To tell you the truth, I have lost track on how long I have been working on these pieces and how many times they have been back and forth in the mail.

As you can see from the above announcement, Shana has been trading mandalas back and forth with artists from around the world, and as a culmination, the final exhibition is coming up on April 25.

When I initially saw her project, I knew that I wanted to be involved, and now that the process is over, I can say that I am very pleased and humbled.  Thank you, Shana!

In other studio news, I have been working on one of two 24″ x 24″ canvases that will serve as “mates” for the original Sunfire/Sunburst mandala that I did some time ago.  It’s a design that I keep coming back to and am comfortable with.  Each time I do a variation of it, it changes and progresses to a different space, and in that aspect, I don’t feel that I’m being repetitive.

Finally, if you haven’t seen it or had a chance to purchase one, please take a look at my newest limited edition tee shirt, the Blue Lotus.  And if you have, please pass the word along.  Word of mouth is a powerful thing!

It’s starting to look and feel like spring here in Vermont, and with that, comes lots and lots of studio related activity.  I will fill you all in as projects develop.

As always, thank you for taking the time to stop by here!  Have a great weekend!
